Welcome to SAMO’s annual Trip to Lapland! ❄️
If you are interested in seeing and experiencing the beauty of northern Finland, this trip is for you!

This trip is for students only. Both international and Finnish students are welcome to join 💜

Price

Price for SAMO members is 275€ and for non-members 340€. This price includes bus travel and accommodation. Other activities costs extra 🏂

Transportation

We will start our trip early in Friday morning and come back to Seinäjoki on Sunday night. On our way to Luosto we are going to stop at Rovaniemi Santa Claus Village. 🎅 The trip is made by bus. All participants and trip leaders go on the same bus.

Accommodation

In this trip we are going to stay at cabins which includes a living room, fireplace, sauna/shower/wc. Breakfast buffets and use of the hotel gym during opening hours are included.

Four people will stay in one cabin. We will ask participants about their accommodation preferences on a separate form, where you can specify with whom you want to share the cottage. The form bill be sent via email to those who have registered.

Activities

In addition to the bus travel and accommodation participants can book extra activities, which are added to the price.

The acitivities are:

• Husky farm visit and husky sleigh ride 1km (program about 1h-1h30min) +29€

• Husky farm visit (without the sleigh ride) (program about 1h) +10€

• Aurora hunting on snowshoes 2,5h safari (included: thermal outfit, guidance in English, juice and photographing break, equipment) +76€

• Snowshoe hike in national park 3h safari (included: thermal outfit, guidance in English, hot beverage, snack, snowshoes) +68€

• Downhill skiing (all day/includes all equipment rental) +41€

 

Registration
Please note that signing up is a binding agreement to participate to the trip and pay for it. You can only cancel and receive a refund if you provide a medical statement that you are sick.

Registration is open between 25.9.-9.10.

Payment

Payment is made at the SAMO office after the registration time. The time when the payment can be done is between 11.10.-25.10.

After this time payments will no longer be accepted and registration will be cancelled.

The price depends on what extra activities are chosen.
